John records exactly seven 'I am' statements: bread of life (6:35), light of the world (8:12), the gate (10:9), the good shepherd (10:11), the resurrection and the life (11:25), the way, the truth, and the life (14:6), and the true vine (15:1).

Caiaphas was the official high priest who interrogated Jesus and handed him over to Pilate (Matthew 26:57-68; John 18:13-14). Annas, his father-in-law, had previously questioned Jesus but was not the sitting high priest.

Neither Matthew 8:5-13 nor Luke 7:1-10 gives the centurion’s name. He is praised for his great faith, but the Bible does not record his name.

According to Leviticus 12:2-4, a woman was ceremonially unclean for 40 days after giving birth to a son. Luke 2:22-24 describes the presentation 'when the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses.'

Matthew 23:35: '...from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Jehoiada, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.' This refers to 2 Chronicles 24:20-22.

Mark 8:22-26 records the healing of a blind man at Bethsaida. Unlike Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46), this man is never named — the text simply says 'some people brought a blind man.'
